This was a wedding present to a bride in the mid 1800’s….The shells were carefully wired together to create a basket and flowers….
Another basket made of shells plus a compote filled with antique french flower "buds" used in making bridal crowns.
Wow…I’ve never seen shell art of that level. It’s absolutely lovely.
